EL LATINO offers comforting, authentic Mexican plates in Kyoto—from guacamole to enchiladas—served in a relaxed, unpretentious setting. Patrons love the strong margaritas, friendly owners with roots in Mexico, and the chill Latino soundtrack that creates a welcoming atmosphere. It’s a great spot for those craving homestyle flavors and genuine conversation, combining approachable prices with satisfying, traditional dishes that taste like home.

a week agoThis was my second bar. The owner has a terrible sense of distance, so if you go alone as a woman, you'll be forced to work as a hostess for free. Also, the owner and regulars asked me about my visit to the first bar, and when I answered, they started badmouthing the bar, which was a real turn-off. It's cheap and delicious, so it's a good place if you use it wisely, but I probably won't go there again. It was a place that embodied all the bad things about Kyoto's independent restaurants.

2 weeks agoIt's always crowded with students and locals. You can enjoy authentic cuisine in Sakyo Ward. If you tell them your budget, they will select and serve you recommended dishes. Of course, you can also choose your own menu.
