in the last weekA night filled with the aroma of spices—enjoying all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink at Kyoto Dining in Kita Ward, Kyoto City. The aroma of spices drifts through the air in a quiet residential area in Kita Ward, Kyoto City. Just beyond that is Kyoto Dining, a popular Indian and Nepalese restaurant. On this day, I decided to take the plunge and opt for the all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink course, enjoying a hearty dinner. ◆ A world of spices where a journey begins with just one bite. The moment you enter the restaurant, you're greeted by the soft aroma of cumin and cardamom. Combined with the folk music playing in the background and the colorful decorations, you're instantly transported from your everyday life to a foreign atmosphere. The staff are cheerful and friendly, creating an atmosphere that even first-timers can enjoy with ease. ◆ The luxury of all-you-can-eat—enjoying curry to your heart's content. The appeal of all-you-can-eat is, without a doubt, being able to enjoy a variety of curries, little by little, but as much as you like. ・Rich butter chicken ・Vegetable curry that brings out the sweetness of vegetables ・Keema curry with a sharp spice ・Dal (bean) curry with the distinctive aroma of Nepal Each dish has its own distinct character, making it fun to compare them. The spiciness is mild enough for Japanese people to enjoy, but spicy food lovers can adjust the spices on the table for a more satisfying experience. ◆ Chewy naan is the star of the show Kyoto Dining is known for its freshly baked naan. Even though it's an all-you-can-eat buffet, they don't skimp on the quality, baking each naan individually in an oven for a crispy exterior and chewy interior. The naan itself has a rich sweetness and savory flavor, so whether you dip it in curry or just tear it off and eat it plain, it's satisfying and you'll find yourself asking for seconds before you know it. ◆ Tandoori dishes further enhance the satisfaction of your all-you-can-eat meal. Even though it's an all-you-can-eat option, Spicy Tandoori Chicken Juicy Seekh Kebab Grilled Vegetables A great feature is the lineup of hearty protein dishes. The combination of charcoal aromas and spices pairs perfectly with beer. You'll naturally be in high spirits for the all-you-can-drink section that follows. ◆ Enjoy an adult night out with all-you-can-drink The all-you-can-drink lineup offers a wide range of drinks, from classic beers to highballs, wine, and lassi-style cocktails. The contrast between the spicy dishes and cold drinks is perfect, making for a night where you can't stop drinking. The combination of mango lassi and grilled dishes, which go perfectly with the food, was a big hit for me. ◆ "Spicy Time" to Satisfy Both Your Stomach and Soul Even though it's an all-you-can-eat option, Kyoto Dining doesn't skimp on the details, and every dish is authentic and highly satisfying. Despite the casual atmosphere, the food is authentically prepared. It has the kind of charm that will have you eating and drinking to your heart's content and before you know it, you'll be wanting to come back again. Located in Kyoto's Kita Ward, this is the perfect place for a hearty evening or a lively meal with friends. It was a delightful dinner enveloped in the aroma of spices.

in the last weekRandomly came here after visiting the temple and honestly, might be my favorite meal we’ve eaten in Japan this far. The cheese naan was incredible, almost like a cheese quesadilla level of cheese and the curry was fantastic. Absolutely would recommend, we are considering returning before we leave Kyoto! The only thing I would change was my own choice on the spice level. Being from Wisconsin, I wasn’t sure how this would compare. I like spice, normally getting 5/6 or 6/6 in Wisconsin.. but went a bit conservative here and only did a 3/5… and I wish I would have done more. At least a 4/5 for sure.

a week agoWhen I take foreign guests to Kinkakuji, it can sometimes be difficult to decide on lunch. Japanese food isn't to their taste. Some guests are vegan or Muslim. This restaurant is a great choice for those occasions. Our curry, made with halal ingredients, is easy for any foreigner to munch on. And it's delicious! Our guest from Thailand finished off the super spicy curry and looked like he might want seconds.
