a month agoNear the Mie Polytechnic Center, I saw the words "Charcoal Grilled Chicken"! I've passed by this area a few times, but I don't recall seeing it anywhere else, so I wonder if it's a new restaurant? When I entered, they handed me a menu. I was surprised to see Inca Cola and Chicha Morata (a purple corn and fruit juice mix). I've never seen this anywhere other than the Peruvian restaurant in Shiohama, so I wonder if it's a Peruvian restaurant (although they mostly specialize in chicken)? It was lunchtime, so they had a great deal on a Mostrito and Cuarto de Pollo set. The waiter recommended the fried rice set, but I wasn't sure I could finish it, so I ordered the Cuarto de Pollo set with French fries (1,100 yen, as of November 2025). I was told I could choose between chicken breast and thigh, so I went with the latter. For lunch drinks, you can choose from Coke, Fanta, Sprite, or water (apparently Chichamorata is only available as a single item, and the price isn't even listed on the single item menu. How much is it? lol). I went with water. For sauces, there was ketchup, mayonnaise, and a special sauce? The special sauce had a unique spicy mayonnaise-like flavor, and I'm not sure how to describe it, but it went well with both the potatoes and the chicken. It was delicious. The salad had a strong mayonnaise flavor. The potatoes were quite thick, so they weren't very crunchy. However, they were delicious dipped in the special sauce. The charcoal-grilled chicken was, as expected, delicious. It's a taste you can only get at this restaurant. It's hard to tell from the photo, but it was quite filling. The meat itself is seasoned with spices, so you can eat it as is, but if you add some sauce to change up the flavor, you won't get bored of it. Supermarkets sometimes sell grilled chicken thighs and whole chicken, but this is by far more delicious. I'm sure there are many people who don't like it and avoid it, but I think it's worth trying at least once. Oh, and also, a Filipino restaurant called KUSINA near Nakagawara Station sometimes serves whole roasted chicken (check their Facebook page), and the price is about the same, so depending on your accessibility and timing, I recommend trying either restaurant.

4 months agoEverything was very delicious and well served. It was my first time at a chicken restaurant in Japan where they served very well and at a good price. I only gave it 3 stars for the atmosphere because the air conditioning was not enough when the atmosphere was full, and it was always full and hot. After that, everything was fine.

4 months agoThey gave us an easy-to-understand menu in Japanese and explained it to us using pictures. Three of us ate our fill and had drinks, but it only cost around 3,000 yen. I'd love to go again.
