Chingones in Chatan serves up lively, authentic birria tacos and carnitas that nail the street-taco experience. The bar-forward atmosphere, warm staff and house recipes (the bartender even swears by his mother’s secret touch) make it a great spot for nights out or casual dinners. Standouts include dirty-style nachos, shrimp ceviche and a thoughtful drink list—perfect when you want bold flavors in a relaxed, inviting setting trusted by many locals and visitors alike.

a month agoThe food is pretty good. The only thing that i didnt care for is that cash is NOT accepted and the POS system asks for tips, not the norm for Japan.

2 months agoI wasn’t sure what to except going, but had some of THE BEST tacos I’ve ever had. I’m not really much for a taco person, but I’m excited to go back!!

2 months agoThe best tacos that I’ve had on island. However, this place does get pretty packed and doesn’t offer much seating.

2 months agoChingones – Okinawa’s Best Mexican Spot Chingones is, without a doubt, one of the best Mexican restaurants in Okinawa. I ordered the Dirty-Style Nachos and two Birria tacos, and both were outstanding. The tacos had a perfect little kick of spice, and the overall flavor was excellent. The atmosphere is lively and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. While at the bar, I mentioned to the bartender how superb the tacos were, and he proudly told me they were his mother’s recipe. We exchanged a friendly fist bump, and his polite, welcoming attitude made the experience even better. If you haven’t been to Chingones yet, you’re missing out—this is a must-visit spot for great food and great vibes.
