Tequila Bar & Grill – Latin District

If you are looking for real Mexican food, this is the place! I highly recommend to try the corn, horchata and quesadillas! Salsas are homemade and if you are a Tequila fan, they have a bar full of different types and brands.

I had carne asada, tosco, and carnitas. The taste of corn flour that remains in the mouth of the tortilla, which is solidified with water, really bothers me. Personally, I don't mind the fried tosco, but this one is a bit subtle because the texture of the fried tortilla and the meat don't really blend together. Both the tosco and carne asada are like thin beef steak cut into small pieces and seasoned with lime and a sauce reminiscent of the sauce for green onion and salt tongue. I just wish they didn't skimp on the lime. There's quite a bit of meat on it, so that's a good thing. I won't be ordering it again, but it's not particularly bad. I think it would probably taste like this if you cut beef steak about 5mm thick into 1cm cubes, seasoned with the sauce you'd use to make tortillas and green onion and salt tongue at home, green onions, onions, salt and pepper, and squeezed lime over it.

My favorite restaurant in all of Okinawa. Hands down some of the best mexican food I've ever eaten, everything I've ever tried (which has been most of the menu items) has been absolutely delicious and so flavorful. Mango margarita is perfection. Prices are unbeatable (usually around $50 usd to feed my family of 5). They do take visa!!! Service is fantastic, and food is made fresh by order- but even with it being made fresh wait time is typically no longer than 10-15 minutes. Parking is so easy, there's so many lots that are cheap (500 yen only and less) and near Tequila Bar. We like using Center Parking Lot. About a 5 minute walk from the car to the restaurant. Don't sleep on giving this place a try!

Delicious, authentic tacos. Happy hours is from 6 - 7pm.
