After seeing the news that a mass wedding would be held in Peru on Valentine's Day, I decided to try Peruvian food, so I visited Huanchaco for the first time. It was delicious. Tuc-tac con lomo saltado is a quintessential Peruvian dish, combining tuc-tac, a slightly risotto-like dish of browned bean rice influenced by African immigrants, with stir-fried dishes influenced by Chinese immigrants, such as beef in soy sauce. Choritos arrachalacas are a marinated mussel dish from a fishing town.
