EL SABOR Restaurant – Bar brings bold, home-style Peruvian cuisine to the heart of Shizuoka. Diners praise the juicy, perfectly cooked dishes — the cebiche is frequently recommended — and the tender, flavorful chicken keeps locals coming back. Expect carefully balanced plates, generous portions, and well-crafted cocktails that complement every meal. Friendly service and reasonable prices make it an ideal spot for a relaxed dinner or a lively night out. A must-visit for anyone craving genuine Peruvian tastes in town.

a week agoAfter traveling to Peru a while ago, I visited Japan with my girlfriend. Since my girlfriend is Peruvian, we were looking for a Peruvian restaurant in Shizuoka when we discovered ‘El Sabor’ and decided to visit. The cuisine prepared by Kei, the restaurant owner and chef, was truly excellent. The homemade Chicha Morada had a deeper, richer flavor and felt more genuinely made than the ones I had in Peru, and the Lomo Saltado and Pollo a Labrasa were also very impressive. The appetizers and desserts are also delicious, so I highly recommend trying them. I particularly strongly recommend the Arroz con Marisco, Anticuchos, and Ceviche. Although I tasted a variety of excellent food during my trip to Peru, the cuisine at El Sabor demonstrated a level of perfection that was a step above. I was so moved by the taste that I visited twice, and it is a great pity that I could not go a third time because I had to move on to the next city. It was a time when I could feel great happiness through food for the first time in a long while, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Chef Kei for treating us so kindly and letting us enjoy such wonderful food. Japan is a country with many reasons to travel, but I think one of the biggest reasons for my next visit will definitely be this place, ‘El Sabor,’ and K-Chef.

2 months agoEl Sabor is the best Peruvian restaurant I have ever eaten at. As Mexican-Americans visiting Japan we were blown away with how delicious the food was, a 5/5. The owner was very lovely and it was very fascinating speaking with a native Japanese who speaks Spanish. Muchas gracias por todo el día que nos tocó cenar en su restaurante! The restaurant is on the second floor.
