FRIJOLES Tokyo Midtown Yaesu is a fast-casual Mexican eatery located in the basement level (B1F) of Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, just a short walk from Tokyo Station’s Yaesu Central Exit. The restaurant offers a bright, fresh take on Tex-Mex, focusing on burritos, tacos, and salads built with high-quality, wholesome ingredients.
From the moment you enter, it’s evident that health and customization are priorities here. Diners can choose from eleven types of fresh vegetables, three kinds of meats, two types of beans, and rice to build their meal—whether that’s a burrito, salad bowl, or tacos. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are available. The ingredients are selected carefully, with an emphasis on avoiding chemical seasonings, preservatives, or artificial colors.
The operating hours are generous: FRIJOLES opens daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with the last order around 8:45 PM. Since the food is made to order, this place is good for a quick, healthy lunch, a casual dinner, or grabbing something light while commuting.
Inside, seating is limited and cozy—there are only about 14 seats, split between counter and table spots—so it tends to be more of a grab-and-go or quick-dining kind of place rather than somewhere to linger for hours. But that suits the style: fresh, fast, flexible.
The price is also relatively moderate. Most meals fall between ¥1,000 and ¥2,000, which is reasonable for Tokyo, especially given the freshness, customizability, and healthier ingredient profile.
All in all, FRIJOLES Tokyo Midtown Yaesu is a solid option if you’re craving something Mexican but want more control over your meal (focusing on fresh veggies, lighter options, or dietary preferences). It’s ideal for folks who want convenience without sacrificing quality.

in the last weekI had a similar experience to what others have mentioned in previous reviews, and unfortunately, the issue still persists. I ordered takeout, and while the food itself was actually quite good, the service was very disappointing. The staff member assisting us appeared unwilling to engage and came across as rushed and inattentive. Before we had clearly decided on our toppings, she proceeded without confirming our order, and there was no apology for this. Upon returning home, we realized the order was incorrect. There was no double-check at the time of handoff. I also noticed that reviews from a couple of months ago raised similar concerns about customer service, with responses indicating improvements would be made. However, based on this experience, those improvements are not evident. Considering this shop is located in Midtown, I believe the level of service should be reconsidered. It's a shame, because the food itself has potential, but the portions were also quite small for the price. Several months ago, there were similar complaints about customer service, and while they responded with promises of improvement, my experience suggests no improvement has been made. As a store located within the Midtown shopping complex, I believe they should reconsider their customer service. It's a shame, especially since the food itself was delicious, and the portion size felt somewhat small for the price.

in the last weekUnlike the Roppongi location, this one seems to be take-out only. The staff were very helpful and the service was quick, which was great! I'd like to use this service again!

a week agoIt seems you can't earn Mitsui points unless you specifically ask about it. Apparently, this isn't the standard procedure, so don't expect much in terms of service.
