Bar latino y espacio para eventos El Coyote Kyoto

While laying in our hotel in Kyoto, I searched “latin” on google maps where we found this gem of a place. When you reach the address you have to take the elevator to the 4th floor. When my friends and I got there, we were the only ones along with the owner. We didn’t mind since we didn’t expect a huge crowd at a “latin” place in Japan. They had a variety of Tequila which we love since we are Mexican! All while listening to a VARIETY of latino music, they had Becky G, Bad Bunny, Big Boy, Fuerza Regida, Junior H, Shakira, a little bit of everything! There was an all you can drink option until midnight which we definitely took advantage of and just vibed with the owner, she was such a sweetheart! Super accommodating and even let us do some karaoke once the drinks were drinking :D A couple more people showed up while we were there and it was a good time. I had been feeling a bit homesick and this visit helped so much! Thank you for the great service, I hope this business flourishes. If you’re Latino or enjoy latin music definitely stop by!

I had a great time here even though it was a Monday(kinda empty if u care). Owner was wonderful and music was great!! There was all you can drink for 3000yen. I recommend for everyone and if ur latino it’s a must. They also musical instruments lol

I don’t normally write reviews but I enjoyed my time here so much I just felt that I had to write one. By far the best bartender I’ve met and they always have excellent Latin music playing the drinks are really good too. Definitely recommend coming here and trying this place out.

Place was amazing! From the instruments on the table, I already knew that this place was going to bring those Latin vibes to Kyoto!! The owner was so nice and vibed with us the whole night. If you are in need of some Latino vibes in the middle of Kyoto, look no further.

I have visited many Mexican themed restaurants during my 3 years living in Japan. This place would not be on the top of my list for authenticity, but their food was pretty decent, the service was good and the atmosphere is quite Latin inspired. It's clean and inviting. That being said, the food was nowhere near as spicy as I craved - although I'm quite used to that here...the Japanese tend away from spicy (they also don't care much for sour cream, so you don't see it often on menus here). The taquitos were rolled in flour tortillas, and were so thin I could not identify what the tiny strip of meat inside was - they came with a sauce that was more like a Hot and Sour Chinese shipping sauce than anything approaching Mexican salsa - but despite all that, they were delicious. The tacos plate was pedestrian, but pretty much exactly what I expected. The avocado and sausage salad was very unique - dressed with a thousand island minus the pickles (a dressing that seems quite common here). I chose this place because of its name - one of my favorite old Mexican restaurants in Los Angeles is El Coyote on Beverly Blvd. I never expected this place to match it - it was a completely different experience, but a pleasant one. Give it a try!
