Bar España Hablamos brings relaxed Spanish charm to Kioto with standout tapas and paella. Groups love the easygoing vibe, abundant Spanish wine list and dishes that keep coming — from clams and tomato bread to rich stews and ribs. The paella is a must-try, and don’t miss the Basque cheesecake for dessert. Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere make it a perfect spot for casual nights out or bigger gatherings.

9 months agoA lovely surprise without reservation. We found it near our hotel and it was simply wonderful. Kyoto’s is a lovely city and the staff at Hablamos made the evening even better with wonderfully prepared food. We sat by the bar so we got to see all their hard work took place (with smiles). An upbeat restaurant and you can feel the vibe and dedication in their menu. I am experienced in Spanish cuisine and it was a lovely surprise to see they add their personal twist in their cooking style. My stomach is too small to try the full menu. Well done Hablamos!

7 months agoA nice little Spanish tapas place just 5 minutes from Kyoto station. Despite there being only one chef we didn't have to wait long for dishes, and they all tasted really good.

a year agoWe went as a group of four including two hungry male students. Relaxed easy going atmosphere was one of the best. Food was brilliant, we had a mixed tapas plate and wished we'd had all the individual tapas. Plus paella (twice), ribs (twice), other dishes and wine.

5 years agoSo glad I ran into this place! The service is great the food is delicious and the beer is cold. Plenty of Spanish wines to select from at very good prices. I had the beef stew(cow intestines) , a salad and a fried lamb chop. Every dish came out as prepared and they are able to keep a good balance of moving food out to multiple tables. Next time I will definitely try the Paella which looked amazing.

2 years agoWhat a delightful find. A Spanish style tapas restaurant in Kyoto!! We loved everything we ordered. The clams were amazing as was the tomato bread. Be sure to order a baguette to go with the clams. Don’t miss the Basque cheesecake.
