Petiscaria Guaruja is a cozy restaurante tucked into Sasagawa that brings hearty, authentic Brazilian dishes to Yokkaichi. Diners praise the generous portions, clean smoke-free space and the warm owners who bridge language gaps with menus in Japanese and Portuguese. Standouts include aitchbone steak and a comforting feijoada finished with a tangy homemade salsa. Friendly service and fair prices have made this a local favorite, trusted by over 100 locals who keep coming back for genuine, home-cooked flavors.

Hace 3 semanasThe atmosphere was a little intimidating for Japanese people, but once I went in, the staff were friendly and spoke to me in Japanese, which put me at ease. I had aitchbone steak and black bean and pork stew (feijoada). The aitchbone steak came with rice, stewed beans, and salad, and was delicious, and good value for money. The feijoada was also very tasty. The homemade salsa-like sauce was a nice accent. Brazil is quite far away, but I was happy to be able to enjoy home-cooked food nearby. There was no parking lot, so I parked on the street.
