Restaurante Mexicano Aztecas

My brother and I were traveling in Japan for a month and were craving Mexican food, so we decided to try this place. Huge mistake. The service was absolutely awful. We were attended once and then completely ignored. Long waits, zero follow up, and staff with a careless, unprofessional attitude. What made it even more disappointing is that this place claims to represent Mexican culture, yet showed none of the warmth or hospitality that culture is known for especially toward fellow Mexicans abroad. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save your time and money and go literally anywhere else.

Restaurante Mexicano Aztecas is an authentic Mexican restaurant in Kannai. The tacos de pastor and tacos de asada are packed with the savory aroma of the tortillas and the delicious flavor of the meat, and they go perfectly with the refreshing Corona and Dos Equis beers.

We are visiting from San Diego & my husband was homesick for our local cuisine. He found Aztecas via google & they accommodated our family of 4, immediately, without hesitation. We were sat at the coziest table, surrounded by banda music & awesome vibes. The waitress was warm & kind. (her English was top notch too.) I was skeptical at first because - Mexican food in Japan? OH MY GOODNESS. I will die on this hill - Japan does tacos better than SD, LA & Tijuana combined. Mind you, I am as mexican as you can get for a white girl. The tortillas are made in house, the carne asada is grilled & charred perfectly.. their beans soup is even better & the salsa is freshly made. Please come here. You will not be disappointed & you will be changed for life. We already have a reservation set for tomorrow. I have seriously never had better tacos & we frequent Rosarito, Mexico quite often. That's something special. I ♡ AZTECAS!!!!

When you enter the restaurant, its murals are amazing. The beef birria tacos are delicious; I recommend them with a blue margarita.
