El barrio de Kyoto tiene en goya uno de esos rincones que la gente guarda como secreto antes de compartirlos. El ambiente acogedor y el servicio atento crean el escenario perfecto para una comida que merece el tiempo que uno le dedica. La cocina hace su parte con productos frescos y tecnica solida. La propuesta culinaria mezcla influencias diversas en un resultado que resulta fresco, sabroso y genuinamente diferente de lo que se encuentra en el resto del barrio. Para los que exigen algo mejor que lo de siempre: goya en Kyoto es la respuesta que estaban buscando.

    We stopped here for lunch and tried their seasonal dishes and lunch sets, so good! The dishes are very interesting and delicious and now I can say that I tried the Okinawa food. The owners are very nice and friendly. Definitely recommend this place!

    IF YOU ARE VEGAN OR VEGETARIAN DO NOT COME HERE

    Maybe stick to what you do best which is cooking meat, and selling beer. I was deceived by photos showing me what looked like healthy rice and vegetables a sort of scaled down version of Shojin Ryori. I’m vegan so I tried the Taco salad which was really unpleasant and uninspired. Much of the dish was difficult to eat. I made the mistake of ordering everything vegan that they had. Some very oily appetizers one mostly composed of onions.

    My body felt horrible after eating here even until the next day. The dessert a banana cake felt like it had been store for year it was like a rock and had no thought put in it the banana wouldn’t even break under the pressure of a fork. At the end of it I felt super disappointed and for the price I paid it was an added insult. The staff even seemed ashamed of what they were serving me. No doubt my vegan dishes could possibly been prepared on surfaces ridden with oils from preparing so many meat dishes. But I really felt sick after this meal.

    I’m not one to trash establishments but I don’t want other vegans or vegetarians coming here they put no thought into the options for us and it’s clear they just want to drive more customers to this shop. I think they should do the respectable thing and take vegan/veg options off of their menu until you get a chef who’s actually passionate about vegan cooking.

    Food was okay. Mixed rice herbs & pork was quite bland. Spicy pork spare ribs was alright. We really enjoyed the spicy Okinawa goyza, curly fries & the Jasmine chai ice tea. Cute little place. Friendly staff. We also received a cute set of chopsticks as a present.

    I had a really delicious Goyachanpuru.
    I so like the vibe and atmosphere at this place, makes you feel relaxed and at ease.
    The staff where friendly and gave good service.
    I highly recommend this place, I for sure will come back.

    Had some interesting/different (Okinawan) vegan food that was different from other Japanese restaurants we went to.

    Some didn't suit my taste, but others were good.
