3 años agoMade reservation on instagram (@ofuro.Kyoto) by Google translating English into Japanese.
We’re seated on the second floor, which is more comfortable than counter seatings on 1/F but we reckon the atmosphere would be better downstairs.
There’s a QR code for us to place order online, which is great as we can Chrome/Safari translate the dishes into English. They have pictures of the dishes as well.
Food are good and of good value. Sashimi are not of the best quality but well worth the price.

3 años agoWow - what a special place. My fav meal in Kyoto. The tempura edamame was to die for. Potato salad with a scrambled egg on top was amazing (I know, sounds weird but amazing), sashimi delicious). Staff is so fun and welcoming and create the most memorable experience.

3 años agoDelicious sake, sushi, and potato salad. I think the potato salad beats the ones back home. Staff were also super friendly and fun! Would come back in a heartbeat

4 años agoLoved their food. Especially the big fat seafood maki. I was craving for the corn age(揚げ) but I guess I didn't make it to the season. Their food is overall delicious, their alcohol serving can be a bit more generous. First floor is packed with customers (counter seats) and loud, and if they are the regulars and in the mood they will help out the servers and bring you food to the second floor when it gets too busy. On the other hand, second floor is too bright with the lighting and has no music. We made a reservation but were seated on the second floor. I was expecting more of an izakaya style interior and atmosphere. I felt like I was in Matsuya. Nonetheless, their food is good

3 años agoOkay, look. I'm gonna be real. This is my best friend's restaurant, so I have some bias, but even if it weren't, I would still praise this place to the moon and back.
The owner (Yoko-chan) is the most charismatic guy you'll ever meet, and there's never air in a conversation with him even when there is a bit of a language barrier.
Everyone comes here to let loose, relax, drink, eat, and mostly socialize. I guarantee you won't walk away without a memorable experience.
