Callejera is a warm, down-to-earth restaurant in Nagoya that locals praise for its genuinely Mexican menu. Customers frequently call the burritos the real deal and the nachos a comforting go‑to—well balanced with cilantro and salsa and served with a selection of import beers. The grand, memorable decor and multilingual, helpful staff make it great for families and events. Expect friendly service, lively vibes, and straightforward, honest flavors that transport you from Nagoya to a casual eatery in the Southwest.

2 weeks agoThe tacos were a little too sour for some people, so they might not be to their liking. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very stylish. They have a wide selection of craft beers, so I recommend it for those who like craft beer. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was great. I was a little disappointed that the plate with the meat still on it was taken away. The staff were polite, cheerful, and smiling. Or rather, their attitude matched the atmosphere of the tacos.

a month agoAwesome spot. Great Cali style grub. Really good craft beer selection (cans) and just a nice place to chill.

a month agoBefore heading to my reserved izakaya, I searched for a restaurant in Nagoya City where I could bring my dog for meals (I wanted to escape the heat), where the heat was still lingering, and after calling to confirm, I finally found this place. It was a huge help, and I was delighted by the attentive service shown by the tattooed staff, which was the complete opposite of the restaurant's atmosphere (sorry...). More than anything, the tacos were delicious! It was a lively restaurant with lively background music, so it might have been a bit odd to have a man in his 50s and his dog there, but I was grateful that they welcomed us. More than anything, the tattooed staff...he looked tough, but was friendly, explained the menu clearly, and even thoughtfully brought water for my dog. If I hadn't made a reservation at another restaurant, I would have enjoyed more here. The balance of the soft taco dough and fillings was just right. The seasoning wasn't too strong. It was delicious. Thank you so much! It was helpful.
