Cantina Rima

Picture this: you’ve stumbled down a Mexican alleyway and found the best tacos of your life… only two margaritas deep you realize someone is speaking Japanese, and in your confused state a disorienting epiphany washes over you: you’re not in South America, but Osaka! You’ve got to try the pork tacos, chips and guacamole, very strong margs, and the bean quesadilla.

The food was very satisfying and the drink selection was pretty good. Recommend if you miss eating tacos in Osaka

My wife, niece and I visited Cantina Rima on our recent trip to Japan and we loved it! The owner was very friendly and it is impressive that he handles everything himself. It was strange being in Japan but speaking Spanish, English, and Japanese (very poorly) to someone haha. The margaritas are excellent and the food is even better. The food is authentic to what you would find in Mexico. If we ever visit Japan again we will be back for sure!

This is our go-to Mexican restaurant and probably the best we have had in Japan. While we haven’t always needed a reservation, I recommend you make one because you could be turned away from this small restaurant due to other bookings. We have loved everything that we have ordered but we always get guacamole, quesadilla and some sort of taco. Recently had a fish taco and it was delicious. Only one person working but the service is great and the food is delicious. Highly recommend Cantina Rima!

i’m from los angeles and was missing a taste of home so i stopped by here for dinner. WOW. blown away by the margarita, the guac, the enchiladas. honestly better than some of the more central restaurant spots in la. the owner makes the drinks and food himself - he learned from his friends in mexico- and the restaurant is small enough that you can watch him do it. if u want to try something different than traditional japanese, this is the place.
