Barraca is a cozy spot in Kyoto serving generous paella portions and a warm Basque-inspired menu. Expect a full set meal with bread, salad, soup, paella and dessert — plus excellent sherries and standout sangria. The atmosphere feels distinctly European yet intimate, with helpful staff and an English menu for easy ordering. A great choice for those seeking hearty, well-executed Spanish fare in the city.

a month agoI visited for dinner, and the menu was extensive and the atmosphere was great! There was such a wide variety that it was fun to choose! The paella was delicious, and the portion was just right! It took a little while for the food to come, but I was very satisfied to be able to eat authentic paella! The sausages were also meaty and delicious! I couldn't drink alcohol this time due to work commitments the next day, but they had some rare drinks I'll try next time! They also seem to have a wide selection on the lunch menu, so I'll definitely stop by again! The atmosphere was also comfortable, so I think it would be nice to stay for a longer time!

a month agoWe went to have dinner and we were lucky to get seats without having reservations. The food was great, the course was satisfying. Such a lucky find and I’m planning to go back there soon.

a month agoApparently there is another sister restaurant, and someone else had made a reservation there, so I went there thinking I had made a reservation there, but I was disappointed with the short-haired lady who served me. I guess people often get confused. But I wish they had been a little more considerate to me. I won't be visiting either this restaurant or the sister restaurant again. The food there wasn't that great either, so that's a shame.
