Cantina El Borracho

Bad experience and bad food. Everything was overpriced, we paid 5,700y for low-quality food with very few portions. The salsa and chips did not feel like freshly made ones at all but rather bought packaged food and packaged chips (or it was just poorly made). Either way, the dish was very disappointing. Other dishes' portions were ridiculous for their prices and they were not that good either. We agreed that the fries dish was the only one acceptable. Moreover, the rule that everyone at the table has to order one drink is ridiculous. Every restaurant ever in Japan I visited for the past 1 year and a half has free water but here, not only they don't offer free water, they even forced us to order their overpriced drinks with only a few options. Apparently there were also hidden charges (the end of the bill) so you will basically get charged for being there. Everything was literally a scam 🤡🤡📉📉📉📉My experience here ruined my already tiring evening.

Avoid this place!!! Complete scam. There's hidden charges and a one drink per person rule (drinks are overpriced). Portions are tiny. Also the only Mexican songs playing were japanese covers of the Coco movie songs? Also!! We were the only customers and somehow the staff stilled managed to accidentally charge us double what we ordered, we had to go back and tell them, they weren't very apologetic either.. マジで行かない方がいい…

WATCH OUT! Cheats. Food was pretty tasty, and the beer selection was decent, BUT THIS RESTAURANT CHARGED US 1000 Y FOR SALSA AND NACHOS AS STARTERS (without informing us). I made the fool mistake of not checking the bill - my fault - and it was too late to return afterward. For a Japanese outlet, I'm shocked at this sort of behaviour. As a matter of principle, I'm giving this establishment a one star rating on everything. Also the staff were not terribly friendly, and that didn't help. Perhaps the lack of a crowd at dinnertime - and this is Hakata station, the busiest transportation point in the city - says everything.

Once I saw the (lunch) menu and how simple and few it was, I didn’t expect much. I ordered a chicken tacos set without the chicken because I am vegetarian. When it came to my table, I was surprised to find some grilled veggies in my tacos! On top of that, they were actually delicious and flavorful. Def recommend to vegetarians~! 💛💛💛💛

Jazzberry beer! Hard to find around and it is excellent, chips and guacamole we're good and so we're to Taco's which came with fries. As others have said they have their own little table with sour cream and sauces. Very much recommended.
