2 years agoI love their tacos: crispy and delicious, and different in shape comparing to other tacos I had: instead of a folded tortilla, these look more like harumaki. But I guess these are easier to eat, and not messy. Wr also had the enchiladas, and chili con carne, all very tasty. Whenever I come to Fukuoka, Rosita is always on my list.

a year agoThe cheese enchiladas were “fine” , but as another reviewer said, it was a bit lukewarm and overall pretty underwhelming. You can’t really find Mexican food in Japan easily, but I wonder if people are too generous with their reviews sometime. Especially very generous with this price point. I would have rated higher, but the lady who came to take our money TRIED TO GRAB OUR WALLET AND TAKE OUT THE MONEY! I was so shocked and I still am! I have no idea what she was trying to do… I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume she thought we didn’t know about Japanese currency . (But my husband is Japanese and I’m a permanent resident lol) Overall, I can’t recommend it.

2 years agoThe best! Authentic delicious Mexican food, splendid frozen margaritas...a very homey atmosphere with great soft jazz music playing, especially music from Kiss Me Kate. The food has been consistently the same and wonderful for over 30 years. I HAVE to go Everytime I'm in Fukuoka. Love this place. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

a year agoI'm changing my review I went to this place because one of my managers had been going here since 1995 and said it was good Mexican food in Japan and it's been open since the 1950 and was a great spot because it's hard to find good Mexican food. Now I'm not saying that the food is not good, because the food is good but the owners wife runs the front of the house and she is not the friendliest person you can tell she puts on a happy face. We went there recently and I got food and ordered two dishes and the owner's wife brought me a margarita which I didn't order at the end of my meal I was charged for it, which is not ok. I have been here multiple times with no issues I don't know what her issue was but I don't recommend for Mexican food. If you want Mexican food wait till you get to Tokyo and go to Chiles in Harajuku The owner is very nice and the food is good I would recommend it after lunch if you want to order different items off the menu.

4 years agoAs far as Mexican food in Japan goes, this was one of the better Mexican experiences I have had. We had the tacos and cheese enchiladas. The food was solid, not like Mexican food in LA, but good for Japan. The service was was efficient and friendly. The only drawback is this place is quite expensive. If you need Mexican food or are trying it for the first time it is worth the price, but definitely more than I expected to pay.
