Herradura is a narrow, multi-floor cantina tucked into Nakazaki, offering classic Mexican food like tacos, burritos and enchiladas alongside a strong selection of beers and tequila. Visitors enjoy the chill vibes, quick service and vegetarian options that swap meat for refried beans. The frozen margarita is a highlight, and the friendly staff create a welcoming spot for families and travelers exploring Osaka’s hidden culinary corners.

2 weeks agoThis was my first time there since they moved. I got the all-you-can-drink course, and it was delicious and filling. I was able to relax.

Nakazakicho is a place to enjoy the atmosphere, so if that's what you're looking for, it's fine. The clientele was mostly female, so maybe this area isn't the place to go if you're looking for flavor.

2 months agoI love walking around Nakazakicho, and this time I went to "Herradora." The narrow alleys that are so typical of Nakazakicho make for a lovely, hidden gem. It's a little hard to find, but that detour feeling is part of the fun. The stairs at the entrance and inside the restaurant are steep, so be careful. The restaurant tends to attract younger customers, but the atmosphere is welcoming to people of all ages. The staff are young and laid-back, but they were cheerful and welcoming, making for a comfortable atmosphere. This is a place where you can enjoy tacos in a casual, unpretentious atmosphere. What I had this time: Chicken Tacos Beef Tacos Enchiladas Guacamole Chips Draft Beer Both of the tacos were just the right temperature and flavor, and truly delicious! The aroma wafted through the air with each bite, leaving me feeling thoroughly satisfied. The enchiladas had a mellow sauce that wasn't too spicy, and the guacamole was creamy. They paired perfectly with beer. The menu is centered around tacos and is easy to understand, with photos making it easy for first-timers to choose. The prices are also reasonable, and I was impressed with the flavor and price. This restaurant is perfect for days when you want to enjoy delicious tacos in a casual setting, surrounded by the Nakazakicho neighborhood. The warm atmosphere makes it a great place to stop by on a stroll.

3 months agoIf you’re looking for some Mexican cuisine, this is a pretty good option in Osaka. The beef taco and Chile Con Carne both have cinnamon undertones, which is very reminiscent of authentic Mexican cooking, especially in the Oaxaca region of Mexico. The portion sizes are small, but the prices are very fair. We ordered several dishes to share. They offer some Mexican beers and also Margaritas by the glass or pitcher! Just make sure you walk down the narrow alley to find Herradura, otherwise you will end up in a ramen shop. There are several flights of steep stairs to climb, so be aware this may be an issues if you have someone with mobility issues.
