Really tasty food and drink, all cooked fresh. Particularly liked the richness of the chocolate cake; all about the flavour and not the sugar. Seems to be family owned (which is a plus) as the service slowed down when mum went to put the young daughter to bed.

I'd been there once before and enjoyed it, so I asked the staff to make a reservation for me (reservations are required for groups of four or more). Everything was delicious, and I was glad I ordered exactly what I wanted, rather than ordering a set menu. I also had a bottle of wine, which came to just under 4,000 yen. The only catch was that they only accepted cash (thank goodness, the staff realized and told me just before we arrived). The food wasn't too spicy, and there were plenty of vegetables, making it perfect for a girls' night out. However, that day, there was only one foreign family, and their child was occupying it the whole time... I ended up not knowing whether to say anything or not, not knowing what language they were speaking.

After enjoying the brass band performance at Sumitomo Life Izumi Hall, I decided I wanted to eat Mexican food, so I searched for something. The restaurant I wanted to go to closed at 6pm, so I couldn't make it, so I headed to Kyobashi and found this place instead. Regulars kept coming in, and I was a little worried about whether it would be okay for us first-timers, but I decided to just move on if it didn't feel right, so I went in. For a bar, they wiped the tables thoroughly before letting me sit down, which was a very good impression. The red eye seemed a little small in beer, but I like tomato juice, so it was fine. The guacamole dip was just right as a snack, and I didn't realize they allowed smoking...but I guess that's to be expected since it's a bar. It felt strangely comfortable, and I thought I might drop in again on my own. The staff were also generally friendly.
