It’s located in the building where Aoyama suits is. They had a lot of spices from Peru and Brazil, so I got some aji in bottles, and even dried peppers, can’t wait to try them out. There were also ingredients for feijoada, beans, farofa, peruvian corn, a decent frozen section full of sausages, some cooked empanadas, sweets, local softdrinks like inca cola and Guarana. I thought it was a pretty good shop!
Only 4 stars because I couldn’t find the Provencal seasonings I was hoping to get to make Peruvian dishes.
I came here after having lunch at a nearby Peruvian restaurant. Lunch was delicious (it was the first Peruvian restaurant I visited in Japan). I happened to find this place on a map. The entrance was bit difficult to find, you have to go inside the building from the front (next to Wendy's) and use a lift to the floor. Consulate General of Peru locates on the same floor. I really enjoyed it and ended up buying a lot of things: frozen lucuma, cherimoya, Amazon soap, chicha morada, herbal tea, panettone, etc.
The place has some hard-to-find items at reasonable prices: guava paste, corn tortillas, empanada, amaranth, beans, etc. But I went al the way there today only to find that they were closed for inventory. Why do you have to close to do inventory? Can't you do inventory after the super-early closing time of 6p? Or in the morning? Well, if they don't care enough about their customers to uphold their posted hours, then they get a bad rating. It doesn't matter how good a store's products are if people can't shop there.
