LOCO’S KITCHEN OLUOLU

I visited Loco's Kitchen Oluolu based on a friend’s recommendation, and it lived up and even exceeded the praise. The food was delicious – the loco moco and poke were clearly made fresh, with great attention to flavor. The peanut butter ice cream was a standout, and I highly recommend saving room for it.

What made the experience special, though, was the owner, Masa. A well-traveled and thoughtful host, he has a rare gift for making customers feel like friends. He is also attentive without being intrusive, and always mindful of guests’ personal space unless invited into the conversation.

We chatted easily about sports, Japanese video games, and his travel adventures (he even shared photos from his trips). His relaxed, down-to-earth demeanor made the evening feel more like catching up with someone I had known for years.

As a bonus, Masa is also a skilled musician. In the middle of the night, he casually pulled out his ukulele and music sheets, treating us to a few songs. It added a unique, personal touch to the meal that you won’t find anywhere else.

Thanks, Masa, for the fantastic food and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Loco's Kitchen Oluolu is a gem in Kobe – a place where great meals and genuine connection come together. I’ll be back!

The food is so fresh, light and delicious! If you want to feel like you are eating at the chef’s home then this is the restaurant for you! The kids even received the famous peanut butter ice cream and it was amazing! Very very satisfied and we really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend - thank you for having us.

Thank you for a delicious post-hike pizza! Our group turned up a little late for our reservation, but in true Hawaiian style, the chef was super laid back about it and catered to our needs with a smile. I appreciated that so much. Just one thing- i forgot all about trying the peanut butter ice cream! Oh well, a good excuse for another visit…
