For those looking for halal food, it’s important to note that this restaurant is not halal. However, seafood and vegetarian options can be suitable if you confirm that no alcohol or pork fat is used. The staff were very cooperative and responsive when we asked for our food to be prepared without pork or alcohol.

Like many Japanese restaurants, the place is small and part of a well-known global chain. Ordering is done easily through an iPad at the table. Service is fast, and the staff are very friendly.

The curry with fish or shrimp is one of the most popular choices, and the food overall is very tasty. Be careful with the spice level
even level 1 can be quite spicy for those not used to spicy food.

Overall, a good experience with great service and flavorful food.

Nicely placed before switching to the next bus on the way to kinkakuji. Curry was great and savory with pleasant aroma. There is option for single or group diner as well. We tried the chicken cutlet and top up with spinach as well as the crab croquettes, simply irresistible. The place bit small, and may overcrowded during peak hours.

I love Coco's, it's my favorite Japanese curry restaurant. It's a chain so feel free to go to any of them. Pork cutlet with a spice level of 1-2 is perfect to get started, then explore from there. Great for a quick lunch while traveling!
