THE GOOD DAYS

Nice roadhouse establishment serving mostly burgers and variations thereof. Went for the simplest offering on the menu which was the cheeseburger. All burgers come with fries. The patties are on the smaller side and tend to be somewhat dry due to their thinness. Wish they used real American sliced cheese instead of the Cheezewiz type concoction that drooled out after each bite. Service is unobtrusive yet efficient making it an ideal spot for a quick bite. A lot friendlier than the other burger venues in and around Aoshima.

It was delicious. I am not a big fan of a burger but tried their avocado cheese burger make me want to take more.
The place is also nice and clean.
The Mexican also nice so fresh ingredients. Also, they use mix grained for rice.

Really a 3.5 overall, but rounding up for a pretty decent burger. I got the cheeseburger, which was pretty middling. The patty itself was rather bland and nothing to write home about, but was sufficiently meaty and combined with the nicely toasted bun that did not get soggy, the lettuce, and the serviceable fries, made for an overall positive filling lunch. Greaseproof paper is provided so you can hold your burger cleanly.

Pancakes are unfortunately only available from 2 pm onwards, although our waitress was kind enough to offer the regular American pancakes (not the fluffy soufflé ones) to us a little before that. They are…definitely not fluffy and have the taste of cardboard. Do not recommend. Even ihop’s are better.

Vibe is similar to a vintage American diner. The place including the bathroom is clean, but walking in, the smell of stale grease wallops you with the force of a sack of bricks. Other than that, lots of windows means nice natural lighting and a good view of the surrounding hills.

Note that everyone has to order at least one item.

Pancake was really delicious.

A proper BLT! Haven't had a decent sized delicious BLT in Japan in years. Good stuff! Taste is good and we went early so no lines or waiting. Good spot!
