THE TACORICE HOUSE

I love Tacorice, it is like an Okinawan take of Texmex, specially existing only in Okinawa. The rice mix is delicious and filling and you can customise it with toppings and such. The banana smoothie is also velvety and sweet. If that sounds heavy for you, opt for the shikuwasa soda.

Went for a stroll down some side streets (100% recommend) and found Tacorice! Thought we’d stop in for dinner since we were starving after 50,000 steps, twenty thousand arigato’s and my back aching from bowing so much. I LOVE the food so much so that I’m going to try my hand at it when I get back to Aus.

For two people’s meals it cost $34 Australian dollars which is so good in price imo.

I don’t know how Japanese people make western food taste way better than western food?? The nuggets are to die for!

The Tacorice is really good. However, eating there will be a challenge as place is small and dining in door will mean you will be immerse in the smell of the food that is being cooked. The food smells great but not many will want to smell of Tacos hours after the meal.

You can choose to sit outside but seats are limited and the table I sat at wasn't well cleaned and had a bit of stickiness.

Tried the Okinawa taco rice and tacos — pretty good! The place feels a bit touristy but has a great vibe. I’d say there are better taco spots out there though.

Loved my first taco rice. Took the half&half, great that they have this option to try both things. Added coriander & chili sauce, which had diced tomatoes and it was really spicy if you like that. Would come back again
