2 años agoI am a Peruvian living in Kyoto. Whenever I feel homesick, I make the journey to Charo’s. The food is very authentic and delicious. I always eat several items from the menu to share with my non-Peruvian friends that I take with me to the restaurant. We have always loved every single dish. Peruvian food is meant to have big flavors - spicy, sweet, umami, etc. - and Charo never disappoints.
Ms. Charo and her husband are always very attentive and kind. I always enjoy chatting with Ms. Charo, who speaks fluent Spanish and Japanese, and has also been making efforts to learn English.
Once, when my friend started to not feel well (we had spent the day at nearby Hirakata Park, and my friend had gotten motion sickness), Ms. Charo and her husband took notice and gave her tea as service.
The previous location, as well as the current one, are very clean and beautiful inside. And the decor always reminds me of home.

1 año agoThe best Peruvian restaurant I have been to in Kansai, and one of the best in Japan, in my opinion. The sense of Mrs. Charo, chef and owner, the great and authentic food she provides, and the cost-quality value are unbeatable, so far. The portions are generous in most cases and the taste, is like home (Peru).

10 meses agoLovely spot and amazing food!
The anticuchos were unbelievably tender, definitely recommend that. Everything tasted great and authentic, nothing was under seasoned.
Will definitely be back many more times.

4 años agoBest Peruvian Restaurant in whole Osaka. Mood and environment are quite relaxing, and the decoration makes you feel as in Peru.
Also there are some souvenirs and special Peruvian products such as its famous coffee.
