What I’m about to say is wild, but this is the best meal I’ve had during my trip Japan. I’m from Arizona and have visited Mexico many times, so I know what a good taco tastes like, and these are spectacular! 10/10! Do yourself a favor and have some when visiting Kyoto.

I tried the shrimp, chicken, and pork carnitas, and while they were all incredible and I 100% would order again, my favorite was the chicken.

Service was great as well. Very fast.

The restaurant has about 5 seats, but we came after 1pm and had no problem getting seated.

The shop has counter-seating only, and you can see the chef preparing your food. Ordered the pork carnitas tacos, and they were really good! The portion of meat felt a little on the lighter side for the price, but the flavors were great. They also have delicious homemade craft beverages, such as craft ginger ale, and even off-menu drinks like the craft hibiscus tea, which we really enjoyed. The owner kindly spoke to us both in Japanese and English, which we truly appreciated. Overall vibe was friendly, but couldn’t help but feel it was also cautious and subdued. But I didn’t want to read much into it.

Stopped in on a Tuesday at lunchtime with 2 adults - had the place to ourselves.

Ordered 2 Vegetarian Tacos (Zucchini), 1 Salmon Taco, and 1 Wagyu Taco.

Interesting flavors with the added pickled veggies and a little sweetness. Was good.

My husband loved his salmon taco and thought the flavors all went really well together.

Wow, this place is a gem! Go there now! Never did we ever think we'd be eating Mexican food in Kyoto, but we found this place for lunch as we were walking by at 1pm. It's very tiny and cosy, there are only 5 seats facing the food preparation area, but we were the only ones there! We each had 3 tacos, I had the mushroom veggie, wagyu and pork carnitas (no photos because they didn't last more than 10 seconds). The chef prepared them infront of us, and service was incredibly quick. They were absolutely delicious! Fresh, flavourful and moreish, and (don't tell anyone) tastier than any taco we had in Mexico. The owner/chef is a genius. Thank you!

Honestly one of the best foods we’ve had here in Kyoto. I am Mexican and these Tacos take me back to East Los Angeles Tacos. The food was so amazing. Definitely recommend the Wagyu, Shrimp and Carnita Tacos! The vibes were immaculate, old school RnB and Tequila. You heard right folks. Japan with Tequila. Loved it, 10/10.
