FRIJOLES Tokyo Midtown Yaesu is a fast-casual Mexican eatery located in the basement level (B1F) of Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, just a short walk from Tokyo Station’s Yaesu Central Exit. The restaurant offers a bright, fresh take on Tex-Mex, focusing on burritos, tacos, and salads built with high-quality, wholesome ingredients.
From the moment you enter, it’s evident that health and customization are priorities here. Diners can choose from eleven types of fresh vegetables, three kinds of meats, two types of beans, and rice to build their meal—whether that’s a burrito, salad bowl, or tacos. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are available. The ingredients are selected carefully, with an emphasis on avoiding chemical seasonings, preservatives, or artificial colors.
The operating hours are generous: FRIJOLES opens daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with the last order around 8:45 PM. Since the food is made to order, this place is good for a quick, healthy lunch, a casual dinner, or grabbing something light while commuting.
Inside, seating is limited and cozy—there are only about 14 seats, split between counter and table spots—so it tends to be more of a grab-and-go or quick-dining kind of place rather than somewhere to linger for hours. But that suits the style: fresh, fast, flexible.
The price is also relatively moderate. Most meals fall between ¥1,000 and ¥2,000, which is reasonable for Tokyo, especially given the freshness, customizability, and healthier ingredient profile.
All in all, FRIJOLES Tokyo Midtown Yaesu is a solid option if you’re craving something Mexican but want more control over your meal (focusing on fresh veggies, lighter options, or dietary preferences). It’s ideal for folks who want convenience without sacrificing quality.

3 weeks agoI was traveling by highway bus and was looking for something to have for dinner, so I made my burrito debut. I wanted to eat meat, so I went for beef, but after adding other things, it came to 1,890 yen, which I felt was a bit of a splurge. I ate it four hours later at my lodging, and it was very filling and satisfying.

a month agoThis restaurant serves American-Mexican cuisine. I had the regular-sized Classic Beef Burrito, which was delicious with a chewy, thin shell and a generous filling. It's a fast-food restaurant perfect for one or two people to eat quickly.

a month agoIt's expensive, but absolutely delicious. I mentioned to the waiter that I don't like raw onions and usually don't put salsa in my burritos, and he told me that they have onion-free versions of the corn salsa and tomato salsa!!
