The food was amazing. I've never seen naans filled with so much cheese before and both the butter chicken and momo's were very tasty. Oh and the mango lassi is worth a visit by itself. The service was also very good; the person helping is was really kind and made you feel welcomed. 5 stars.

Went here on my first day in Kyoto and it was definitely a great start to the trip! The staff are so friendly and the food is incredible. This place is a must-visit if you're in Kyoto!! The mango lassi was incredible, the curries were fresh, and the chai tea was a must-get. Their naan is also very nice. We went for dinner and will definitely have to come back before we leave! 10/10!!

I had a great meal at Mini Nepal Dining and Bar! I tried the mutton biryani, sukuti chow mein, and momo—each dish was full of flavor and reminded me of authentic Nepali home cooking.

The mutton biryani was aromatic and perfectly spiced, the sukuti chow mein had a delicious smoky taste, and the momo were juicy and satisfying. The portion sizes were generous, and the service was warm and friendly.

Highly recommend this place if you’re craving real Nepali food in Kyoto!

We ordered take out since we are staying just around the corner.

The naan is soooooo good, soft and chewy with the right amount to crisp to the edges. The butter chicken tastes very good but seems a bit sweeter than the ones we have at home in Berkeley, California. My husband also liked the mutton masala, but he said the meat is overcooked even the flavor is on point. The mango lassi was kind of weird because it had ice cubes in it, and the mango (seems like from a can with syrup) is not mixed it like the ones at home or anywhere else we had it. Also got a very small order (100yen) of chicken tikka, good flavor but a bit dry, and honestly just the right portion for a tiny mini protein add. Did not try the signature Nepalese mono because we don’t want to over order.

We are pretty spoiled since there is a large population of Nepalese in Berkeley, so I think overall this is still a good place if you’re craving for Nepalese.

Amazing food, and yoi can refill on the nan and rice, perfect for big eaters. Alao very close for all the temples and shrines in east kyoto. I recommend the pepper chicken, it was delicious.
