SIESTA

We ate dinner at Siesta twice in one week and both visits were equally enjoyable.

First time: tacos and nachos.
Second time: chicken/fish burritos and nachos.
Both times: cold beer, silky smooth Herradura tequila, super-friendly service.

The Siesta team is welcoming, the food is delicious, it's fairly priced, and the place is spotlessly clean with old school funk/pop music playing in the background.

This is a solid choice if you’re craving quality Mexican food in Kyoto.

Great palette cleanser spot for a brief change of traditional Japanese food, if you’re in the mood for it. The vegan burrito was fresh and packed with veggies and yummy guacamole. The fries were crisp and well spiced! I ended up also order take out the other night and it was equally delicious.

Amazing food and a great atmosphere. Originally we had passed this place up due to a line but walked right in for lunch and was greeted by great staff and as well as music. The spicy chicken burrito was recommended to us and I highly recommend to anyone else. It was so great that after finishing our burrito for here, we ordered one for take away. The carnitas tacos were also great with a thin tortilla and a generous helping of salsa. Loved every part of our meal. The Mexican Style fries had great flavor with a yummy tanginess. Don’t hesitate and go grab a meal. My husband and I give this the Mexican stamp of approval with appreciation for their Japanese twist.

Had the shrimp katsu burrito and it was out of this world. I would say the carnitas tacos could have used some more flavor, but all in all a great experience.

Wonderful clean food. So unlike fast food ! Great soul tunes playing. Lovely freindly and easy going staff. Had fish burtito and crispy chicken one to share. Pure delicious
