Churrasco Restaurant ALEGRIA COREDO室町2

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Brazilian steakhouse. I honestly don’t understand how this place has such high reviews. Save your time and money and don’t come here.

We arrived around 5:30 and the restaurant was completely empty. The staff looked like they were still cooking in the kitchen, and it took a while before anyone even greeted us. They explained the menu—about 20 different items we could order—and required each person to order a drink, which was fine. But there was no salad bar, no appetizers, nothing. They brought out cheese bread and it was literally two pieces—one for each of us.

Now onto the meats. You would think that in Japan, the pork and steak would be good. Nope. The pork belly was tough and chewy. We ordered veggies, and they brought out one piece of zucchini and two pieces of mushroom (basically one mushroom cut in half).

When new customers came in, I noticed they placed towels over their jackets to protect them from splashes while cutting the meat. Our server never offered us this. I understand we don’t speak Japanese, but that’s not an excuse—you should treat every customer the same. That part really annoyed me. The person serving the meat kept walking past us and not offering anything. At that point, I was done.

Our bill ended up being ¥9,900 for dinner plus ¥440 × 2 for drinks—over ¥10,000 for one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had.

Do yourself a favor: don’t come here.

If you want to sink your teeth into chunky pieces of delcious meat, this is a great place to be. Their lunch mixed plate is well-priced (1200 yen at time of this writing), and lets you sample their chicken, pork and beef.
Apart from all-you-can-eat courses, this was the most fulfilling meat dish I had in Japan

I had the all-you-can-eat churrasco course at this restaurant, which was priced at around 7,000 yen per person during dinner. The course offered about 20 different kinds of meat, along with a delicious cheese spread on the side. The cheese was wonderfully chewy and flavorful, a perfect complement to the meal.

What really stood out to me was the quality of the meat. Every cut was juicy, well-marinated, and perfectly seasoned. I actually prefer this place over Barbacoa, which is another popular chain. The flavor and quality here are just superior in my opinion.

I was thoroughly impressed with the experience and would definitely come back again.

Honestly, this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. There’s no appetizer or salad bar, the tables are crammed so close together that you’re practically elbow-to-elbow with strangers, and the place just felt dirty. Plates were left sitting for ages before anyone bothered to clear them, and on more than one occasion we were served undercooked meat.

To make things worse, even the drinks were disappointing. We ordered orange juice, but what we got was basically orange-colored water with ice cubes. It tasted watered down and artificial — definitely not real juice.

The atmosphere was loud and uncomfortable, the space felt cramped, and the staff came across as careless and unprofessional. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. Definitely not a place I’d recommend.
