2 semanas agoProbably one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve ever been to! All the food is fantastically presented by the Japanese Brazilian chef and his team! The service is so phenomenal! I was dining there myself since I stayed at Intercontinental Hotel for one night and that was the best dinner choice I’ve ever made! Simply 10 out of 10!

6 meses agoSawaka was really exceptional! The dishes were so original, we loved the focus on local and seasonal ingredients combined with unexpected textures and delicious flavors. We sat at the counter, which was a highlight! It was great watching the team prepare everything with such focus and care.
The wine pairing was spot on and introduced us to some really interesting wines we’d never tried before. Between the food and the kind and attentive service, it was such a unique night. We’d love to return next time we’re in Sapporo!

6 meses agoWe spent an amazing evening at SAWAKA. Chef Himoro and his team created an absolutely delicious menu (we went for the En menu) using seasonal ingredients from Hokkaido, with influences from different cuisines.
One highlight for me was the tofu espuma. The tofu’s creaminess worked really well with the fresh uni. The use of seasonal ingredients like lily bulb stood out as well, it was served as a side with the picanha and fit just perfectly.
We were seated at the counter, and the team really made the evening special. The whole restaurant team was attentive and genuinely welcoming, taking the time to explain dishes and making sure everything felt relaxed and smooth. You could clearly sense how passionate they are about their craft and about giving guests a great experience!

8 meses agoThis was a very unique dining experience with the most superb flavors and combinations created by the dynamic Chef Himoro. I traveled across the globe to have an experience like this and it was beyond my expectations. Even my husband ate everything on the prix fixe (and he's not usually one to branch out into the unknown with seafood). Chef was gracious enough to offer his time and share some of his history, as was Mr. Booluck, the restaurant manager. Everything and everyone was perfectly exceptional. I wish I could write in flavor profiles because words alone do not do the creations justice. Oishii!!

Beautiful restaurant, with a team that is attentive to details and very guest centric.
I was lucky to sit at the counter and the experience was great, witnessing every dish being made.
The taste? Absolutely delicious! Marrying beautiful hokkaido product and Japanese craft with a subtle touch of French cuisine.
Every dish was a highlight!
