DARUMA BURGER

If you are ever in the Gion area of Kyoto, this is a must-try burger! I got the double teriyaki cheese burger with jalapeños and my wife got the single teriyaki burger. I can’t do these burgers justice in a review for how delicious they were! Arguably the best burger I have ever had. Their craft beer was nice and light as well! The owner was our server and was very nice and spoke English well, and also let me practice my Japanese with him! He also gave us a great recommendation to go and get dessert after! Well worth the $35 USD!

It was a cold Christmas evening in Osaka in 2025, and after walking around trying to find somewhere to eat that our children would enjoy, everywhere we found was either packed or just not what we all felt like. Then I had a thought, the kids love burgers, so why not do a quick google search?

I'm so glad I did because we came across Daruma Burger, and it ended up being one of the best meals of our trip.

The burgers are made with premium wagyu beef and were honestly the best burgers me and my family have ever tasted in our lives. The quality, flavour, and overall experience were incredible. You could really taste the difference in the beef, and everything was cooked perfectly.

If you're in Osaka and love burgers, this place is an absolute must try!!!

Most people post reviews saying they’ve experienced the best this and the best that. I’m not most people. I’m imploring you to come try this burger. Food, ambiance and hospitality are top tier. And the Kyoto sake and Kyoto beer make you feel like you’re in a beautiful dream. You’re welcome.

Great burger place in Kyoto, well worth visiting. Tight menu but with all the right stuff. The patty is 100% Wagyu and the meat is really tasteful. A limited amout of sides and a couple of add-ons for the burger. Went for double cheese, wedges and added tomato and jalapenos to the burger. I might have given a 5 if the burger wasnt well done. With such a fine meat, I would have wanted my burger to be more red on the inside which probably would have made it even more tasteful. Loved the beer they had available. I recommend this place.

We got the burger, right after we arrived at Kyoto. I order 1 chese burger with cheese potatto and nuggest.
Over all the taste is good, comfort food for foreigner.
The burger presentation is really interesting too. There’s a Daruma Burger logo on the bun, and the bun is soft. You can also add extra toppings.
I seat i a bar desk, and I end up smelling smoky after eating.
